overkill

Mileage : approx 8km
Time : 1 hour

Days as sweat breaking as today don't come by often.

I woke up feeling a lil' bit nauseous this morning. Munched on a few bananas and hot milo for breakfast (its an odd combination isn't it? it doesn't taste very good ) and set off to school to do a run with crazy ass Jeng Yang. Our run lasted a grueling 1 hour and i was feeling all shitty with backflows from my nose which made me feel like vomitting every now and then. Rested my clearly exhausted legs for the next half hour, and went for taekwondo trg. I sweated the shit out for an entire morning.

Sweating aside, I'm squeezing 2 hours of Muay Thai into my day tomorrow. My last trg was 8 months ago, and I've got a feeling tomorrow's gona be one rusty krusty training session for me. Whats next for me? lets see, Brazilian jiu jitsu. (after my alvls perhaps). Oh, then i would've gotten a ground fighting (jiu jitsu) game and stand up striking (tkd and Muay thai) game going on, then maybe i can complete in MMA. FUCK! ok, shit thoughts aside now.

For now, I'm off to finish up the shitloads of holiday homework waiting to be finished.

Leslie landed a stunning front hook kick to my jaw this morning during a sparring session, and coincidentally I've got a headache. Though not as impressive as eric or the SMU guy, today's session with leslie was a pretty satisfying one. haha. The fight was very much more organized than my previous ones, and it involved abit more strategy every once in awhile, which is a good sign (i hope).

I've been feeling lethargic ever since after the sparring session with Leslie, sleepy, sore legs, strained ankles. you name it. It'll probably mean i wont be running in awhile. Afterall, this two months is an important training period for my 42km run (T.T), and remaining injury-free during this period is especially important

Hello blog!

Today's sports meet was a disappointment for bannister house =(, no trophy, no award. oh well. Try harder next year. Though i gotta say Owen's J1 dudes all dam bloody high, cheer like duno what.

Me, Simon, Peng Cheng, Shu Yee, Meagan and Anu played a lil bit of pool after sports meets today, and boy what round of pool it was. Had a breathtaking game of 'bullets' or whatever its' called which lasted for a whole dam hour! GOD damit.

Next week is .. HOLIDAY, and im all hyped up to continue my .. MUAY THAI CLASSES AT BMTG (Bia's Muay thai Gym). yeah yeah yeah! i sure miss muay thai and my blood boils. I cant wait.

Anyway, the club really has to thank the PE HOD guy (that man that says "eh zha bor! all go on the field now!" during PC lessons)[i cant remember his name].

Since Mr Potato was replaced, Taekwondo in JJC has managed a groundbreaking step for the better this year. We'll be officially recognised as a sports CCA group by the school by the end of this year. What does this spell for us? Better budgets (i hope), easier tornament approval, use of school facilities for our own camps instead of booking costly chalets (i hope), and most importantly, lesser training restrictions (sparring , etc etc).

Already, ms leo of the PE dept, has asked for a meeting w me and our new teacher Mr Lim when school reopens, to review our annual taekwondo budget, and with a fiddle widdle bit of luck, we may be able to get proper floor mats to cover the entire PE porch for our trainings (it could cost a few thousand dollars, considering a 1x1m piece is 50 dollars alone.) That'll mean my ass wont hurt that badly if i fall down. : D

Well, who knows, lets see what happens. For starters, We've ordered the combined intersports tee for our taekwondo members, and thats a big step. It shows nothing more than a little widdle recognition from the school of our CCA.

Despite all this progress shit and stuff, Its been a hustle wussle for me and my committee And though i personally feel we're still a lil in-efficient. Maybe that attributed to the sheer strength of our J1 intake. I'd think we're probably CCA w the largest member strength in JJ. well, i dont know, and who cares. heh.

gotta go now, arena calls.

Always, all ways.
I doubt you'll
ever see that
I'm sorry

Mileage - 8.83km
Time - 1 hour

Its one of those "wana, dont wana" study moments for me now, and here i am killing my precious time typing out this random post.

I'm feeling a lil' nauseous today, and my run felt like i was smashing my heart onto my ribs with each step like a sledgehammer. Bo pian, got no time to waste sitting around if I wanna survive.

Next week's my last week of school for this term, and then .. HOLIDAYS. I've got hell lots of catching ups to do during my holidays =(. And i feel like squeezing back into BMTG (Bia's Muay Thai Gym) during my precious 1 week holiday.

My future

Mileage - 8.83km
Time - 1 hour

I've been tied down with blisters on my feet and some heel problems, so i haven't been running in awhile. Race day is approx. 3 months away, and i still need hell lot more mileage.

Anyway. Straight 7As, that was the top student's score. That's one man who's future is already secured. Yesterday was a tense moment, not for me, but for my seniors and classmates (mother tongue) cause it was results day. And after yesterday, I've come to realize that, it all boils down to whether I'd make it into a university.

And I've been abruptly slapped awake a few harsh realities.
  1. I'm not even gona qualify to apply for medicine with 3H2 subjects even if i aced all of em, so forget it.
  2. With my current grades, I'm certainly not going to make it into a university at all.
  3. With my current attitude, I'm certainly not going anywhere.
  4. I'd need at least an AAB/B to stand a chance to get into the course i want.
  5. BBC/C or BBB/C or even ABB/C most likely wouldn't get me anywhere.
But I'm happy to say that I've definitely woken up my fucking idea. And its not too late to start mugging now. I'll still cling on to my lifeline.

UPDATE!

Alright, I've been tied down with fatigue and work recently. Last week has been a week of "get outs" and "changes", here's what happened last week.
  • Change of taekwondo teacher - in charge
  • Managed to pull out of U/S grader program
  • Managed to pull out of maths break-up lecture group for weaker students
  • Managed to pull out of Chem remedial program
  • Participated in NTU IVP tournament
  • Taekwondo will be recognized as an official sport CCA in JJC (yesss)
I'm delighted to finally announce that we have a new taekwondo teacher in charge. So long potato, douche bag.

IVP

anyway, Me Leslie Amirah and Valerie went for our poomsae tournament on friday, and we scored a 6.400+ points out of 10. The competition was tough and the other teams were performing the pattern with hell lots of variations. From incomplete blocks to weird looking side kicks, etc etc .. (u name it), and the judges gave em way better than what i felt they deserved. Oh fuck. And finally, we finished a disappointing 11th place out of 18 teams in our category.
Being my (or rather, our) first poomsae competition, I'd say we were quite nervous, and could've done way better. But oh well, it was our best effort, so fuck cares? yeah? heh.

Although, the only impressive team on the battleground that day was NTU, who scored a whooping 7.400+ points. Dam aizai.

Here're some pictures for the eye.
