All my legs in my shorts, i headed out for a satisfying jog this evening. I worked hard to get from home to Arena Country club, only to reach finding my body "unsatisfied". So i jogged on to pasir lebar camp, which was quite a distance up ahead from arena, passing by the Singapore Discovery Centre. The whole trip to pasir lebar took around half an hour. And i turned around to jog a longer route around Jurong point back home.

It took me around an 1 and a half hours to finish the route. Although i gotta say, it was kinda creepy since the area around Arena is infested with foreign workers cause their hostel is there. You'd feel an unholy aura trailing behind you, and then you see a shadow catching up on you, and ZOOM, one of em goes past. -.-.

Today was a great day.

train that extra hour

FIGHT that perfect FIGHT

I've been reading a blog called "12 hours in photos" recently. Its a blog where people from all over the world would document 12 hours of their day, with 1 photo for every hour. http://12hoursinphotos.blogspot.com/

My blog's been lacking pictures for awhile now. Here's some random funny "motivational pictures"

Merry Christmas people~ Hope you all get nice presents!

I went for an approx. 10km jog with Simon the other day, trying to convince him to join me in running Adidas Sundown together. It was a sad and unsuccessful attempt. Nevertheless, our jog was fun! :) Our route took us from Keat Hong (somewhere in CCK), to Tengah Airbase. It was a DAM NICE RUN! Anyway, thank you simon for your xmas gift. :)

Anyway, next year's fitness test is especially important for me. I dont wana score frigging 5 points for Chin ups, sit and reach, shuttle run, sit ups, broad jumps, and 2 points for 2.4km (F**k !!) to get a pathetic silver. Jeez. I hope my running pays off. Afterall, someone with perfect eyesight and a perfect NAPFA score could potentially get into a better army division right? ( I HOPE SO. lol :x) Maybe i could even be posted into the air force LOL. (counting my lucky stars)

So I've got 2 more days of work left to go. After that, its mugga mugga for me.

if i could i make you see
that im not that person anymore
Cause i've done my rehab

Alright, I'm officially sick of people in the house. Fucking sick. So I've been working over the hols. And what am i gona do with my paycheck? I'm gona allocate money to

- Save
- Shop
- Give away

And what the fuck happens? i use only a small fraction of the money I've allocated for "shop" part for myself, and people fucking make a big fuss of it.

"You dont need that"
"why ?"
"waste money"

They should seriously save that shit for themselves cause it feels stupid to be nagged the fuck at for spending even a fraction of my own fucking hard earned money.

So thats the end of my fucking post. Dont you think its so laughable and kid like? being nagged at for spending your pay check. HAHA .. fuck -.-.

Compassion

I'm starting to get a little annoyed by certain people in the house. Lets call em' person X and person Y.

So my dog pooped off target today (Jan has a newspaper spot to poop on), and my cousin stepped on it.
So my dog happened to vomit in the living room today.

I was greatly shocked and equally insulted and pissed when i heard person X utter "haiz, shes so old, waste of time keeping her already. What a nuisance, waste effort, waste money only." And person Y goes on fuels the flame. Person Y even took the oppotunity to shout at Jan in her face and hit her.

Jan was the dog that brought fun and laughter every once in awhile in the family when she was a lil' younger. She'd play w person X's kids, and cuddle in person Y. Now that shes old and blinded in 1 eye, of cause shes gona have some trouble aiming her poop on the newspaper. Give her a break bitches. How i wish some people in my house could understand this with their good - for - nothing microscopic uneducated brains. Ungrateful fucktards. I'd like to see them poop on their pants in bed when they get old and useless. Then i'll throw their very own insults back at them - "Waste of time, nuisance, waste effort, no people wants" And i'll see how they like it. Motherfuckers with absolutely no moral character.

These stupid inmorale good - for - nothing - complain bitches need to shut their mouths. No one's forcing them to take care of Jan anyway, so theres really no reason to insult her like that. They could leave the dirty work to someone who truely loves Jan more, someone like me.

I seriously need to start some training if i'm gona even survive the adidas sundown at all. soooooooo lately i've been busy planning a jog route from my house, to cck .

The route mainly follows the path bus 172 takes:
It passes some graveyards, then to tengah airbase, a longgggggg stretch of greenery, and finally a heartland twist all the way to Palm Gardens (its a condo along cck LRT line). Maybe i could stop by simon's house to swim or go to the suana :x

I'll run it next week if I'm recovered from my stupid semi fever - flu sickness. And i'm gona bring my ez link card in case i cant make it there. HAHA, cause it seems like an insanely tough route. But we'll never know how tough until we try isnt it?

Till then,
chao

Adidas Sundown

Photobucket
(click for enlarged view)

Date : 30th May 2009
Event : Adidas Sundown
Distance : 42.5km
Start time : 11.59pm (night jog)
Fee : 60 bucks ( early bird rate [by this year] )
: 70 bucks ( special period )
: 80 bucks ( normal period )

So I've been looking for cool events to try out, and since i missed the recent standard chartered marathon .. i thought I might give the Adidas Sundown a try. Furthermore, the run begins at 11.59 pm, a grueling saturday night run till the morning. The race is a grueling 42.5km run, and even though I'm still incapable of running beyond even 15km in my current condition, I'm all up for it! I mean, it'll be a cool new experience and thats all that matters =D

And of course I'm not doing it alone (hopefully lol.) so anyone who wants to sign up, please tell me via sms or msn! Perhaps we could sign up and run together : D .............

pressure cooker

Alright. pressures' been building up in my head. I guess i'll just blog about it here to let off some steam. Nothings' provoked me into writing this or anything, but i guess i need to shout out to chill up once in awhile. Afterall, everyone needs to chill up once in awhile right? we're not robots, we're humans.

I'm begining to feel the impact of a chain of overlooked factors leading up to now. In recent times, its been getting increasingly difficult and harder for me to fuel my optimistic perspective on things.

I'm doing all i can, i really am, and i have always been. But the limelight never seems to shine. The limelight never seems to do justice to my efforts. Looking from a neutral perspective, i guess anyone would say im incapable, or ineffective, incorrect, inefficient, insufficient and other negative bullshit. But the unforgiving fact is, Life's a bitch, and its been fucking me around. Surely I've made mistakes and i dont have a problem accepting that, but more importantly my luck's been unbelievably unforgiving, and its shattering my brick solid confidence into nano sized dust.

Along the fine line that seperates my optimistic outlook from pesimissim, i refuse to think that im not the best canidate for the job. But in these calm yet busy times (irony isnt it?), it feels like i'm running a one man show on stage. Its like a staged drama performance, except, im playing nearly all the characters in one go. And even before the show is ending, it feels as though the curtains have begun to close halfway through the performance.

And as the show begins to draw to an end, I guess i'll just have to go commando. - "all the way."
I dont give a dam what bullshit people think about me, but at least this way, i know i fought "all the way". I'll have no regrets.

but at this rate,
its still not clear how
my optimism would hold up

*cough cough*

I've been coughing for the 4th day already, and things arent looking too good. Just this morning, i've been coughing flem. Now, i'm trying to breathe properly ('cause my throats' all swelled up)

And i feel a fever coming down on me.

Anyway, went for some out-of-form soccer with simon and peng cheng today, and to JP with PC. Dudes, JP is the town of the west. lol. The new extension is FANTABULOUSTIC. And the best part? EVERLASTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT in the new extension. The new extension is simply fantastic.

its all about nostalgia.

A sense of nostalgia hit me today when i entered the expo on my last day of work. Though unwillingly but unconciously, i had gotten used to the hard cycle of work at the expo.
  • home at 12am
  • sleep at 1am
  • wake at 7am
  • work
  • restart

Walking into the expo hall, things were abit different. the radio no longer played class 95. fm, and the once hustle bustle crowded hall, let off a nostalgic sense of emptiness. I spent the remaining 6hours packing up my stall, while my neighbours packed theirs. i knew, perhaps we were all reminesencing.

This made me realize, good and serious goodbyes are often hard to accept. - Even if it was a goodbye meant for someone you disliked.

if i could go back in time,

i'd right all our wrongs,

i'd have made you smile more

i'd treasure you more

most importantly,

I'd hold on to you, not saying the things i did. never would've let you go the way i did.

i still reminiscence of you till now.

I'm sorry .

Things are different now, and what are our (or rather, my) chances at all now ? People walk in and out of our lifes everyday, but for those whom have left behind a footprint or two in our hearts, surely, they are the ones hardest to forget. =)

I probably deserve to win the "Promoter of the year" award. I'm working ass off man. My working hours have been 10am - 10pm at the SINGAPORE EXPO in the past 3 days!!

i reach home, bathe, dinner, sleep by 1am everyday, and wake up at 8 the next day for work! WHAT THE HELL =.=, dam lifeless.
Long time no post.
Heres day 2 of INTURAC, I'm to lazy to describe it so here it goes, in point form.

  • 4am rise and shine
  • scape > chinatown
  • chinatown > fort canning park
  • built stretcher
  • carried 60kg Rafiq from fort canning to scape park (knn, this one dam shiong)

We over took around 7 teams this day, but ended up with a 4th place finishing overall. TOO bad.

But hey! catch me on OKTO or TV mobile next year!!! They're gona make a 1hour show out of all the footage they filmed. (yes there were camera crews following the teams all around the race, like the amazing race huh? lol.)

Monday, December 1, 2008

I finished the toughest challenge of my life yesterday with a blast.
I participated in 'Inturac' (Intergrated Urban Adventure Challenge). IT WAS F*CKING tough, i mean it. Even climbing Mt. Ophir twice would be easier than this. My team members were Sholihin, Qi Hui, Weiyao, Rafiq.

Inturac follows the same concept as 'The Amazing Race'

So the race begins
We begun the race at 1pm at camelot campsite (a stones' throw from changi airport) with a 2km jog which everyone bolted through.

Then we moved on to do rock climbing, kayaking, raft building, and wall repelling, which lasted us all the way till 5pm.

This is the main highlight of the race really. Changi Airport > East Coast Park
As if we were'nt shagged enough, we were given only 2 bikes to make our way to east coast park -.- ( we were operating in 5 man teams. ) So me and Rafiq volunteered to jog east coast park, while Sholihin and Qi Hui biked there. Our run from changi airport to east coast park lasted a grueling 57 minutes. It was probably an 8km long run and left blisters all over my feet. I was running with sand in my wet shoes from kayaking earlier.

This is the next best part really. East Coast park > SUNTEC CITY =.=
Our next task at east coast park, was to get to suntec city. Jaw dropped, we were like "WHAT ?!". my 57minute run had already left me shagged up, and now i have to walk to suntec city from east coast park?!
F*ck you gotta be kidding. So we made our way to suntec, a grueling 3 hour walk, from 6 - 9pm.

THEN ...... SUNTEC CITY > ESPLANADE
Our task sheet directed us towards the esplanade from suntec city. so we walked there -.-. I left Sholihin, Qi Hui, and Wei Yao to complete our task at the esplanade.

Meanwhile, me and Rafiq took a good 45minute rest outside the esplanade. we put our bags down, and begin to sleep in the middle of the crowded pathway near the padang (yeah, we were that tired). I seriously fell asleep, and i woke up only to find the Inturac television crew with their cameras pointing at me and Rafiq. LOLZ. Being to dam tired and shagged to care, we simply smiled and carried on sleeping =.=.

AND THEN ....... ESPLANADE > PADANG > CINNELEISURE ORCHARD (Scape / youthpark)
Sholihin and the rest came running back from completing their task at around 10pm, and we set off for our last checkpoint, Cinneleisure Orchard. We bolted through large crowds and traffic lights to be the 6th or 7th team to arrive at youthpark at around 11pm (there were 17 - 18 teams in all i think).

I fell asleep soundly at 1am. And this is only day no.1
